Glasgow Comic Con

A Comic Con that’s north o’ the border?! Yep, and it looks like it might be worth a visit.

Of particular interest to us small-press folk is the first Scottish Independent Comic Awards. Check it out and put yourselves forward dudes.

Every table was booked before we even heard about this thing, but I made a call and we’re first on the reserve list. If anything frees up, how about a communal table where we can all ply our wares?

Metaphrog Comics Masterclass at Newington Library 19th March.

There is going to be a comic book masterclass with Metaphrog, Glasgow-based comic book creators, at Newington Library in Edinburgh on the 19th of March.  The event is family friendly pitched at ages 5+, but I get the impression it’ll be good for adults too.

There will be two sessions on the day: 10am – 1pm and 1.45pm – 4.45pm.  You can book a space by calling Newington Library on 0131 529 5536.
