Dunfermline Comic Con 2019!

After the being called off last year due to the blizzarding snow Dunfermline Comic Con is back, Back, BACK! And a wide selection of League of Comicers will be there! Here’s where we will all be…

In the Glen Pavilion Steven Ingram at table 25 with his comics Left, MurMur #1 and the brand new MurMur #2.

Zhou Fang will be at table 26a with his award winning graphic novel Garden.

Aimee Lockwood will be at table 26b with her original art and comics Still Life & Pushinka

Hari Conner will be at table 49 with their award winning comics Nyx in the Overworld and Finding Home, plus lots of D&D related stuff!

In the Marquee you’ll find Nicolas Rossert of Sloth Comics at table M52

Alex Assan will be at table M66 with her illustration work and graphic novel Captain Imani and the Cosmic Chase.

Eve Greenwood will be at table M67 launching the first volume of their webcomic Inhibit.  They’ll also have the comics Orange Plates and Deadinburgh.

Ell J Walker will be at table M68 with her comics The Kelpie, GBBO – The Wrath of Hollywood and the brand new Nettle Wine.

It’s all very exciting. Lots of comics and lots of NEW comics!

February News Round Up!

Two Kickstarters!

Two League of Comicers currently have projects funding on Kickstarter!

Eve Greenwood is collecting the first book of their comic Inhibit.¬† It’s a story about teens at a school for heroes who can’t control their powers.¬† Check out the Kickstarter here!

Also, Steven Ingram is funding the second issue of his short story collection series MurMur!  This issue contains two comics, A Viking Burial and Solus.  You can take a look at the Kickstarter at this link.

Zu’s New Webcomic

For the last few months Zu Dominiak has been updating a new webcomic Isle of Eye, a slow burning horror about a regular guy trying to find his wife on the mysterious, titular Isle.  You can read it from the beginning by clicking here.

Edinburgh Comic Art Festival (November Edition)

The second Edinburgh Comic Art Festival is happening this weekend and there will be a healthy contingent of League of Comics people there!¬† It’s at Out of the Blue Drill Hall, 36 Dalmeny Street in Leith from 11am-4pm on Sunday 25th November.¬† It’ll be great!¬† And there’s FREE entry!

November News Round-up!

It’s been a busy week for some ELCers this month.¬† Here’s a wee round-up of what they’ve been up to…

Cowboy Bebop Kickstarter

Will Morris has a comic appearing in a new anthology from Short Box celebrating the seminial anime Cowboy Bebop.  It is currently Kickstarting and features some work from a great range of artists.  Definitly worth checking out!

 

THE GLOW

Edward Ross recently turned a story by himself and Stephen Goodall into a choose your own adventure game.  You can play it here!  Try and save your sister from the clutches of the mysterious Glow cult!

 

Zhou Fang’s Garden Kickstarter

Another Kickstarter that you should take a look at this month is this one for a reprint of Zhou Fang’s award winning comic Garden.¬† If you don’t have the book yet this is the perect opportunity to pick it up!

 

A busy month for Zu!

It’s been another busy month for Zu Dominiak!¬† They have put together an interactive non-linear comic called My Hair as part of the 2018 Emerging Writers Festival.¬† You can play/read it here!¬† We’ll have an interview with Zu about the comic coming up here soon.
As well as that they recently started a new webcomic, Isle of Eye.  It looks very interesting so far!  You can keep up with it here!

 

Edinburgh Comic Art Festival – 25th Nov

Also, it’s ECAF this month!¬† November 25th at Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith.¬† There will be a bunch of ELC artists there so look out for a post here next week with details of where we will all be.¬† See you then!

Thought Bubble, MCM Scotland & New Books!

It’s that time of year again… Thought Bubble and MCM Scotland will be on us next weekend (22-23 September for them both) and there will be a sprinkling of ELC artists at both events!

In the Comixology Marquee we’ll have Eddie Ross and Craig Cunningham, conveniently at the same table (no. 144).¬† Eddie will have his new collection B-Sides & Rarities and Craig will have the Six Fingers of Fate anthology he was a part of Conspiracy!¬†

    

   

In the Victoria Hall you’ll find Eve Greenwood at table 31 with their brand new comic Orange Plates which looks great!

Hari Conner will be in the Ask for Mercy Marquee.¬† They’ve been super busy this year and will be debuting D&Doodles: Titan Walk, Drawings for the Isle of Mists and Volume 1 of the award winning webcomic Finding Home.¬† Phew!

  

At the Dundee Uni table (35 in the Originals Marquee) you’ll be able to find Zu Dominiak’s new book Spider Sans.¬† One not to be missed!

MCM Scotland

We don’t have a table map for MCM Scotland yet, but we’ll put one up if it becomes available before the show.

You’ll find Ell J Walker, Zhou Fang and Steven Ingram all in the Comic Village!

Ell will have her books The Kelpie and February the First, a collection of comics from this years Hourly Comics Day.

Zhou will have the award winning Garden and his latest comic Valravn.

aaaand Steven will have his graphic novel Left and comic MurMur no1.
